Saturday Artistry, Farmers Markets & Tea Class
I led my 1st tea tasting class on Zoom last week and it went pretty well! I'm a little late in the game for the Zoom life but that seems to be the way this year is going for me. The world is opening back up but we are still hunkered down at RTR. Summer's are notoriously tough for us and I know that this summer will not be easy. We have been fortunate to have received some grants that will help us to grow out of the cocoon that has developed around us and hope to emerge as a beautiful butterfly/ moth type of thingy.... please be patient with our development. We are still planning on making tea for you throughout all the changes and very much look forward to spending quality tea time with you in the future.
Here are some tidbits to look forward to and participate in:
This Saturday stop by our store front during Artists at Work, a neighborhood wide event where local artists take over storefronts.
I’ll be sharing my dried flower collection during the Blending with Intention class that I will be teaching at the Wyck Rose Garden in Germantown this July.
Our regular Farmers markets are Germantown Farmers Market and Pretzel Park Farmers Market, but you’ll also be able to find us at the Coral Street Farmers market @kcfcoop later this summer
We’ve ever so slightly updated our Covid protocol for our Thursday 12-6pm pre-order pickup to 4 customer at a time!
Be well,
Becky
Remember way back when, around 2013, our backyard got a makeover facilitated by the amazing @birdiebusch ? Our outhouse was made into a sacred place with the help of @brainsoulface who added the definition of the word "Hold" and some lovely floral accents. Allison possesses the kind of magic that can see the unseen, and finds ways for our minds to expand and appreciate all the good stuff around us. She will be back at it making her magic but in front of the tea room this time!
We are participating in @northliberties Artists at Work this Saturday, June 12th from 5-7pm. Come by to see the secret project that we are collaborating on. Shout out to Penn Treaty Special Services District for funding this project!
P.S. we are still only open on Thursday so please don't expect to get tea when you visit!
